Environmental Camp

In mid-September before the chill settles into New England, the fifth grade heads for Environmental Camp. E-Camp, as it is popularly known is located in the western section of Rhode Island just 30 minutes from Providence. This National Center for Environmental Education features 2,300 acres of pristine forests, streams, ponds, and a 75-acre lake.

While at camp the students explore nature through many hands-on activities. They learn to treasure our environment and how to preserve our resources. Team building and life skills are also emphasized as the campers are given tasks to complete. Everyone is kept very busy, and very few students even think about what is going on at home! Even though the students may not agree on the best part of e-camp, they do agree that it is "cool."
