Family Mass Committee
Facilitates the integration of various aspects of the Sunday 9:30am Family Mass by supporting the presiders of the Children's Liturgy of the Word, organizing sign-ups and ceremonies, and coordinates the coffee and donut volunteers for after Mass.
Meeting Location:
No specific meetings as most of the communication is done via email, telephone, and Church Bulletin. Presence at 9:30am Mass is helpful.
Objective:
Integrate various aspects of the Family Mass resulting in a spiritually and socially rewarding for all who attend.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Order and copy "Children's Workshop Bulletins", confer with Pastor to select and order Advent Activity for the Children, coordinate volunteers to assist with the Children's Liturgy, hold periodic sign-ups (for carrying the gifts, Advent Wreath Lighting, organize May Procession, etc.), maintain children's bookcase at the rear of the Church, form a group of volunteers for the coffee hour, use funds raised through donations to shop for food and supplies, and schedule volunteers for each Sunday.
Qualifications:
Good organizational skills and the ability to foster and maintain open communication, as well as attending the 9:30am Mass as your schedule allows.
Training:
No training needed - coffee hour volunteers receive detailed instructions.
Time of Ministry:
Sundays at 9:30am Mass for volunteers, coordinator meets with the Pastor 2-3 times yearly. Attend Parish Ministry meetings as scheduled
Length of Commitment:
One year.
