The Seventh Grade New York Trip

The beginning of May not only signifies the beginning of spring and the anticipated close of school, it also sets the stage for the seventh grade trip to New York. This weekend trip is surely a highlight of the school year.

The history, culture and diversity of this city make it one of the most popular cities in the world. A trip to Ellis Island and the Statue of Liberty helps the students appreciate the sacrifices our ancestors made to immigrate to this great country. History comes alive as they walk around this wonderful museum. Other highlights of the trip include a visit to the Museum of Natural History, the SONY Theater, and the Empire State Building. For those more culturally inclined, dinner and a Broadway show are listed as the best experience! Sunday starts with Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral, and then the group is off to Chinatown for some shopping! New York offers a taste of everything, and our students sample it all!
