St. Mary's School is dedicated to enhancing in each student a strong sense of Catholic values and enriching each child academically in a safe, caring environment.
Dear Parents,
It has been a busy and exciting few weeks here at St. Mary's School. I would like to highlight the recent events beginning with Field Day. Special thanks go to Mr. Pete Seibel, our gym teacher for his planning and organization of the field day events. All of the students had a wonderful time and the weather was just perfect.
Mrs. Fennell's third grade class presented The Wax Museum to parents and students and did a fantastic job. Miss Stead's third grade class presented their Chicken Soup Poetry books to their parents and classmates. They were also impressive.
The first School Wide Art Fair was well received by all who attended. Every child had an entry on display with a different theme for each class. Mrs. Beth Flynn, our Art Teacher and her volunteer assistant Mrs. Sandy Fitzemeyer did a fabulous job setting up and preparing for this presentation. Thanks also to the parents who helped dismantle the fair at the end of the evening. Your help was greatly appreciated.
The Pre-school had their end of the year celebration this week and the kindergarten will celebrate on Wednesday. We are planning an Orientation for the Preschool and Kindergarten parents on August 27th in the evening so save the date. More details will follow.
Our second graders did a wonderful job preparing the liturgy for our end of the year celebration. Following the Mass, the second graders enjoyed a Communion Breakfast in the lower church hall with their families. Special thanks to Mrs. Terry Pedicini for all of her hard work planning this celebration.
The PSO Family Barbecue was very successful in spite of the intense weather. There was dancing, good food, jumping machines and more…. I would like to acknowledge our wonderful PSO leadership team…. Karen Tarmey, President… Donna Scannell, Vice President…. Sean O'Brien, Treasurer and Jenn Leyne, Secretary. They have done an outstanding job and worked tirelessly all year long for the children of St. Mary's School. It has been a pleasure for me to work with such dedicated parents.
To all of you who have helped me in some way this year, I extend a big thank you. I am really looking forward to next September.
The school office will be open most of the summer. We will close for two weeks in July. We check our messages frequently so please feel free to call if you have any questions or concerns and we will get back to you as soon as possible.
May God's blessings be with you and your families during summer vacation.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Cynthia Boyle
Principal
