Food Pantry
Parishioners support "A Servant's Heart" food pantry at the Faith Evangelical Church located at 200 Franklin Street at the corner of Albion Street.
Our specific involvement takes the form of:
1)
a monthly food collection of non-perishable food items. This collection is generally held on the first full weekend of each month.
2)
Each Friday morning from 10:00 to 12:00 noon, two or three parishioners staff the pantry for distribution of food.
3)
A free community dinner is held every third Friday of September through June. Sixth graders from St. Mary's School and the Confirmation class help serve the dinner several of the months. Bags of groceries are also distributed at this time by volunteers from the parish.
4)
The Monday following our monthly food collection, and whenever needed, we sort and shelve the food.
The food pantry is open for all in need.
