The number of Spanish-speaking people in our country is increasing every year. In some of our states, Spanish is the first language spoken by the majority of the people.

The Spanish program at St. Mary's includes students from Grade 3 to Grade 8. It is a gradual process that begins with basic concepts and builds from year to year. By the end of the eighth grade students are proficient. They are able to speak, read, and write in Spanish. They have a strong base in the language and are prepared to move on to Spanish at the high school level.
